My favourite moments

- The dance battle for to win the one and only figurine that he brought over from Korea. At first he didnt know what was happening and then found out what it was about so he took over and split the 10 contestants into 2 groups of 5 so that he could see properly how they were dancing. The last 2 remaining, he went to dance with them then said it was too hard to choose. So he wanted the audience to vote and cheer for the person they supported but he was saying it in English and became lost for words so halfway through his sentence he switched over to korean saying “like clap your hands or whatever” and turned to the translator for help. It was a rwally funny moment!
-there was a part where fans in the audience could sms a question to a phone number which was announced on stage. The mc then randomly picked questions and rang them. Se7en was given the phone in each case and he would say things like “Hello? This is se7en oppa. Who’s this?” in Thai/Thai accent.
-He pretended to speak fluently in Thai a few times and tried to copy what the MC was saying
-Throughout the whole fanmeet he was on a high and couldnt stop moving and making faces and noises. Really cute and playful!
-The day before the fanmeet, he had mistaken a fan called ‘Wow’ for ‘Kasy’ and went as far as to sign her album ‘to kasy’. When he found out later he was so sorry and during the fan meet he say Wow sit in the front row and pointed to her saying ‘Wow!’ (Later after the fanmeet when he signed for her with the right name he joked saying ‘Wow! Fantastic baby!’

My personal highlights
-When he was talking about how special the figurine that he had brought from korea was, I shouted out “Please pick me!” and he looked at me then said “Cecilia, I want to give this to you but [I cant]“
-when he sang come back to me, he was giving out roses and he gave me one
- at the beginning he was talking and he looked over at me and my friend and said “annyeong” in Korean
- when I went on the stage and high fivex and hugged him, he said thanks, you’ve come a long way

Here’s more about the fan meet (info is mainly from my friend who went to the fan meet)

The fan meet was held at Yonsei university 100th memorial hall. Outside the hall, before entering the hall, fans were asked to further vote for ‘Se7en best 7′ and ‘Songs you want to hear’ (the pre fan meet events on cafe.hello7.com) using stickers. Seating was randomised but Korean and Japanese fans were seated on separate sections of the hall. The fan meet was MC’ed by a gagman (sorry forgot his name) who was fluent also in Japanese. During the fan meet, he would translate sometimes from Korean into Japanese or if Dongwookie said something in Japanese, he would repeat it in Korean.

The fan meet lasted around 3 hours. He started by singing When I can’t sing and Somebody Else. Then ‘Se7en best 7′ and ‘Songs that I want to hear’ were revealed via a video which Dongwookie had filmed in advance. As each song was revealed, he would sing maybe a line here and there (not for all songs) and introduce some background info for each song eg. who wrote it, when it was written, some behind stories. For instance, ‘The One’ was originally meant to be the title track for the 2nd album since he really liked the song, but then Passion was written and that became the title track. There were plans later on to release ‘The One’ as a digital single but ‘Crazy’ was released as the digital single instead so in the end, ‘The One’ was included in the 3rd album. ‘La La La’ was written in a small room in Japan with Teddy. He also revealed that ‘That Person’ was a song that was considered to be a title track. In the Best 7, songs included Come back to me, I know, I will do well, La La La, Better Together. The results for ‘Songs I want to listen to’ was a bit of a surprise to him and included ‘Drips’, ‘Come back to me Part 2′, ‘Understand’ and ‘Holding Flowers’. He said ‘Drips’ was a R rated songs and teased Lucky Se7en that they like erotic stuff. He also stated that he didnt like the song ‘Holding Flowers’

He answered various questions by fans picked from a box and included questions in both Korean and Japanese. One question was ‘How come when you take selca (photos of yourself), you always take it from the left side of your face?’ (This is why he tweeted the photo of himself after the fan meet with the photo taken from the right side)

A game was then played with the whole audience where 2 fans (one korean and one Japanese) were to be chosen as the one who understood him the most. The game was played like this – a question would be asked eg. ‘When he showers, does he wash his hair or body first?’ Fans would then have to choose answer 1 or 2. Then Dongwookie would reveal the answer himself. Those who got the answer wrong would be eliminated and the game continued until they got to the last 2 people. In the end, when just one Korean and one Japanese fan were left, the last question was asked ‘When he dresses himself, does he put on his pants or shirt first?’ The Japanese fan got it right and she got a cosmetic set as a present and a hug from him. The Korean fan also got a hug.

To follow, there was a handshaking session where each fan got the chance to shake his hand. After this, everyone was seated again and he sang 2 more songs – I will do well and Love again.

During the fan meet, fan message videos (the other event on Lucky se7en) were shown here and there in between different segments as well as behind the scenes footage of the filming of When I cant sing (when the fans took part in the filming).

After this main event finished, Japanese fans had a separate fan meeting at a hotel somewhere for another 3 hours where he took photos with them and signed for them.

He sang various songs including – I will do well, drips, When I cant sing, Love again. When the Se7en songs best 7 was revealed, ‘Holding flowers’ was on the list and he sang part of it accapella. He talked alot and was very funny. He revealed behind stories about songs that he had never talked about before.

There was photo time and there was a handshaking session at the end.

Then he said it was the last song and that he was going to sing Better Together but the music for Passion started. He had this “What the?” look on his face but laughed and sang Passion instead the left TTTTTTTTTTTTT Should have sang Better Together as encore TTTTTTTTTTT

During Passion!! He looked at me!! That’s right huh?? It was Passion right? It should be right…my memory is not so good..

Anyway the stage was right in front of me and small so it was cool because I could see him close up TTTTTTT Let’s do this another time!!!!!

[Photo+account] 120506 Se7en showcase in Nagoya (+after)

I found that fans at the Nagoya showcase was the most passionate out of the 3 cities I went to. They really were very excited to see him. Dongwookie made the mistake of saying taht this was his 2nd time to Nagoya but fans reminded him that it was his 3rd time already. He even attempted to crack a joke saying “Nagoya! 최고야!” (Choi go ya means the best in Korean but he was playing around with the last 2 syllables which were the same)

Since it was the last day of the Golden week in Japan, he said to everyone to gather strength to get back to the daily routine (or something along those lines, i’m only going by what people told me).

Since I am uploading the full file for this, if anyone who understands can translate what he said it would be greatly appreciated :)

At the Nagoya showcase for the encore, he sang Digital Bounce instead of Better Together.

And before the high five session he did go on the stage again but since I was further away my photos werent as good as Fukuoka’s.

I was quite nervous for the high five session because it was potentially my last chance to talk to him. I had alot to say but I knew I only had seconds so I kept thinking what I should say and how to say it all before getting pushed along. When it was my turn, I said thank you for everything and korean activities plz – …. I wanted to say, please resume your korean activities soon but I sorta got stuck halfway and couldnt get the words out properly. I was already high fiving him with both hands and grasping his hands but I was so concentrating on what I wanted to say taht I didnt really realise he was trying to talk to me. He actually was saying to me “Go back to Australia well” but I must have looked really dazed because he said it to me like 3 times. Even after I walked away, he turned his head to look at me and yelled out again “Go back to Australia well!”

TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

I dont want to go back

TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

After going outside everyone was chatting and after awhile everyone started heading across the road near the carpark, hoping to catch a glimpse of him as he exited. Before I knew it, hundreds of fans had lined up along the road. Some tried to stand at the exit of the carpark but were shooed away by security guards.

The above photo is just one portion of the people lining up along the road. There were just as many and even more on my other side and the line of people went right around the corner as people hoped to see him when he van went past. After awhile, he came out and stood at the exit of the car park, waving to fans across the road. The street was filled with screams. The atmosphere was amazing. I have to say I have not seen this in a long time since maybe 6 years ago in Korea.

After he waved goodbye, he turned around and got onto the van. Security guards got ready and were on the road to make sure there would be no crazy fans trying to get near the van. When the van drove out, there was more screaming and as the van drove past the fans, you could see his silhouette waving to fans inside the van. As the van drove along the road, there were 2 security guards running along side the van as it went by. Fans continued to scream and run on the pedestrian pathway, chasing the van as it stopped at a red light. So much chaos and screaming! I found this scene to be so amusing because it was like a scene out of a movie and Dongwookie was like the president with his bodyguards running alongside his car to protect him.

[Photo+account] 120506 Se7en arriving at Nagoya airport

So my last stop of my super packed trip to Japan was Nagoya. I flew in to Nagoya from Fukuoka early in the morning to find that there were already a bunch of fans waiting for him at the airport. Now, Nagoya has 2 airports so I was not expecting too much because it’s possible that he might not come to the same airport. But I was going to wait just in case. So I waited for about 3 hours? or so and he arrived! By that time, there were about 30 fans or so there. I was just happy that he had decided to come through this airport and not the other one.

When he came out, he was with his manager and the rest of the crew was nowhere to be seen. He looked so tired so I said to him “You look sleepy!” as I gave him my letter and he replied “I am sleepy” So i asked, “Did you go out last night to play?” to which he replied “No.” I then asked “Did you come by yourself?” (since i didnt see anyone else) and he said “No.” As he made his way to the carpark, him and his manager went on the moving ramp and the security would not let fans get on it so everyone walked beside it and looked at him. Some fan asked him if he had eaten yet and he said no.

When he got off the moving ramp, he suddenly started walking really fast and I had to run to catch up. I told him I was going back to Australia tomorrow and he said “really? Go back safely.” Then I asked if i cant shake his hand and he reached out his hand for me to shake. He reached the escalators going down to the car park and the security stopped the fans from following him. He smiled and continued to wave as he went down.

[Photo+account+Audio] 120505 Se7en showcase + high five session in Fukuoka

Before the showcase started, I waited with a bunch of fans near the carpark hoping to catch him when he arrived at the venue. But boy, he was LATE. The show started at 5 but he arrived at 3:15 ish? We had been standing there waiting for 2 hours? or so. When he finally did come, the van was parked quite far so we couldnt see him very well but we did scream out and he did wave at us from afar.

Out of the 4 showcases I went to, my ticket for Fukuoka was the best and I was able to get somewhere in the middle and not too far. So after trying to jump and look over people’s heads in Tokyo, I was finally able to get a good look and concentrate on his performance. This time round I could finally see his choreography and his facial expressions. My feeling from all his showcases so far is that he is really enjoying himself because sometimes in the middle of a song where he is meant to put on a serious and cool look, he cant help but suddenly smile just out of nowhere and this was something which happened again and again. It was so great to see and made the showcase just so much more enjoyable.

I wont go into details about the song order again because I’ve already done so for the Tokyo one but instead will mention some parts which I noticed but didnt notice before or incidents which happened here. I have got to say that he really has fully grasped the ‘cute’ concept with the single this time. Through out the showcase, he never ceased to grasp the opportunity to show his cuteness (gyaaaaaaa)~For instance, during ‘Style’, he added an extra part in the choreography where he made a ‘V’ sign with both hands and pointed them at his head (hard to explain, but if you have watched the making of Love again, you will know what i mean) which made everyone scream hehe~

Now this day was Children’s day and he asked the audience, so are there any children here? A whole bunch of people put up their hands and he had this “What the??” type of look on his face. It was quite amusing hehe. Then the camera panned to a real kid who was near the front. Dongwookie turned around to look at the big screen behind him and saw that the camera had focused on the boy. So he walks over to the side of the stage where the boy is and squats down and says hi to the boy: “Konnichiwa! Annyeong!” No response. The kid is petrified. “I’m  7 years old. Seven Eleven.” *fans scream* Haha it really was quite funny especially since the kid looked so scared :)

A highlight for me was during La la la when the song went to the remix version and I started jumping (crazily XD). He hadnt said “Jump!” to the crowd yet so noone was jumping around me. Obviously I had not realised what I was doing but because I was jumping like a lunatic by myself, it actually caught his attention and during the song he saw me and pointed at me. LOL. I was so excited but at the same time so embarrassed hahahahahaha

Unfortunately since I dont understand Japanese, my understanding depended on what others told me ><

At the end before the high five session he came back on stage again to speak briefly

This time for the high five session, I racked my brains to say something interesting but couldnt think of anything, until the last minute. I thought that it would be amusing to do what he did to me and point at him with my fingers and say “It’s Se7en!” HAHAHA but the thought of it was funny but to execute it…was quite difficult. I was so embarrassed i wasnt able to do it properly. Besides, there wasnt enough time and it was too noisy. Anyway I tried and i’m not sure whether he sorta got what I was doing but he looked at me slightly taken back and I dont know what was going on in my head but maybe I was too embarrassed but instead of high fiving him normally, I used both my hands and slammed his hands in a high five. I hit so hard that it made a loud noise and my hands hurt afterwards. Hahahahahah this is what happens when you are around him.

So after having crappy quality audio in the Tokyo showcases, the Fukuoka one turned out not too bad. However, because I was experimenting with the recording, there is some shuffling which you can hear. On top of that, because on this day I was with people I knew, there was alot of talking so I’ve only cut the songs out. As for La la la, I went so crazy with the screaming and jumping that I decided to cut the latter half of the song (sorry). The Nagoya showcase was recorded alot better (I was more controlled lol) and I’ll be posting that up shortly. But first of all, here’s Fukuoka :)

[Photo+account] 120507 Se7en at Nagoya airport

Just before I even start, I have to say that today was a bit bizarre and crazy :) Although he does like to joke and play around, it’s not often that he’s on a high like this.

So i got to Nagoya airport early and waited for around 2 hrs before he showed up. Since he had a big team of dancers and staff, there were lots of people and luggage. According to fans who were waiting near where the vans had stopped, everyone had gotten out and caught the elevator up to the check in area. He stayed in the van til the last moment and when I saw him arriving in the elevator, he had a black mask on covering his nose and mouth.

He comes out of the lift and his manager to trying to block fans away. As he walked out, he put on a ULTRAMAN MASK. I was like huh?????? At first for a split second, I thought he was getting someone to pretend to be him? But i realised it really was him. So i said, please at least take my letter. And he repeated “You’re saying to at least take your letter?” He took the letter I gave him and continued to walk as other fans gave him presents.

I asked from behind him, Could you please sign an autograph for me? He answered in a playful tone “Of course not” I was like HEUK! But he turned around to take the cd cover and marker from me to sign. It took him some time to write on it as he walked along and I asked him why he was wearing a mask. He didnt reply and he signed for other fans as well. He wrote on my cd cover “Thank you, go back to Australia safely.” One of my friends said she was going to Australia (in the future) but he thought she was going back to Australia (like me) and looked a bit taken back but said to her “Go back safely!” My friend totally cracked up

He got to the check in counter and I watched on in amusement as he did the Ultraman ‘pose’ and gesture/action at the check in counter as a way to greet the staff member behind the counter. I cannot use words to describe how crazy or how hilarious it was! I wish I had it on video! After that he even did a little dance~wahahahahah~he took his mask off for a few seconds so the person behind the counter could see his face as he checked it but after that he put it back on.

Really SO LOL. After checking in, he walked towards the departure gate and I yelled out from behind “Because you’re wearing that mask, we can’t see your good looking face!” He couldnt hear me properly so he turned around and asked me what I said, so I repeated again “I said I cant see your good looking face because of the mask!” He actually replied and said something but because he was wearing two layers (the black mask and the ultraman mask), I couldnt hear what his reply was ><

At the departure gate, he high fived everyone and when it was my turn, I squeezed his hand and he squeezed my hand back (*super squeal*). Then he turned around and was about to walk in but he dropped a piece of paper? as he was trying to walk in and he kept adjusting his mask. At the last moment before he walked in, he turned around to wave to everyone and I yelled out “See you again next time!” HE STOPPED THEN USED HIS INDEX FINGERS FROM BOTH HIS HANDS TO POINT AT ME AGAIN like he did at the showcase high five session. O.M.G. I didnt know how to react again so I just sorta stood dumbfounded.

Even after he had gone in it was really funny because he was going through security and he had to take his mask off but he kept dropping it. lolzzzzzzz he would put it back on then it wouldnt stay on properly. At immigration (you could see all this still from outside the departure gate), he was still taking his mask on and off and adjusting it. It’s so hard to describe but it was just so so hilarious.

PS I heard that when he arrived back in Korea he was also in a really really good mood and joked around with fans! :)

[Account] 120504 Meeting Se7en at Fukuoka airport

On the morning of the 4th May, the next day after the Tokyo showcases, I caught the first flight out from Tokyo to Fukuoka. Now the Japanese fans and I were sorta planning to arrive then wait for him at the airport but it was an uncertain plan because we didnt know when he would come (could be the next day) and didnt know where he would come out of (the airport has 3 terminals which are a few hundred metres from each other). So we arrived and met 2 other fans who had caught the same flight. We decided to go to our accommodation and dump our luggage before heading back to the airport.

My gut feeling though was that he wouldnt arrive in the morning because there were no reason for him to get to Fukuoka so early. I told my friend that my intuition tells me he would probably arrive around 3pm because for him to get to Tokyo airport at about 12 is about right for his personality XD Anyway, so the waiting game started. Because there were at least 2-3 flights per hour we kept going between different terminals to see if he had arrived. I wont go into details about how we were trying to work out whether he had arrived and stuff because that’s a long process haha. But I was so tired from lack of sleep (my flight was 6:40 in the morning) and hour after hour, my determination was waning. After all, I am only in Fukuoka for 2 days and I’ve never been here, so I really wanted to go out and at least walk around. I kept thinking what if he doesnt come today and comes tomorrow? What if we miss him coming out? -_-

Before I knew it, it was close to 3pm. I had been sitting down for so long, I decided I wanted to get up and have a stretch. So I walked towards Terminal 3, just strolling and taking my time. I was nearly at the arrivals hall and one of my friends at Terminal 2 rang me to say they were coming to Terminal 3 because they think he might be on the next flight. I was thinking, Oh ok, and walked a bit more and saw one of my other friends who was already there. She had rung the guys at Terminal 2 because she saw a couple of vans outside Terminal 3 and saw some people who she thought looked like staff waiting. I had a look as well and agreed. All this took a few minutes and after that I walked back to the glass doors of the arrival entrance and less than a minute later, the doors open and it’s none other than Dongwookie.

Woah. That was unexpected. Everything happened so quickly I couldnt get my head around it. There were 3 other Japanese fans who were also waiting at Terminal and they greeted him when he walked out. I greeted him too and he greeted me back in Korean. Some fans gave him letters and presents and I suddenly realised that I had written him a letter too. (haha I told you I was really out of it) I fumbled in my bag to find the letter while he continued to walk out and I had to run up from behind and yell out ‘Letter!’ He stopped and turned around to take the letter from me. As we walked, he asked me when I was in Japan til, and I was still so dazed, I suddenly couldnt remember when I was leaving. So I was like to myself, Monday? Tuesday?? Huh?? Then it finally clicked that I was leaving Monday but then I suddenly couldnt find the word in Korean for Monday, I just kept thinking Monday in English. As he continued to walk, he was looking at me, waiting for me to answer and after like 10 seconds, I finally blurted out, ‘Monday’ and said that I was going to Nagoya as well. He said ‘Really?’ and told me to come safely. He stopped walking for a bit when he was shaking people’s hands and I reached out my hand amongst the many hands and said ‘Please shake me hand too’ So I shook his hand and as usual, his hand felt so big hehehe.

After that he got onto the van and his manager closed the door. They didnt leave though because they were waiting for all the dancers and other staff to come out. Through the darkened window, I could see that he was sticking his head out the window on the other side to look at the sky (Fukuoka was really sunny compared to Tokyo which had been raining). We waved to him and we could see his silhouette as he waved back. He was making V signs as well. Haha he was really in a good mood.

A Japanese fan asked a manager if we could get autographs and the manager said no. I was thinking, you should just ask him himself (the front window of the van was still open so if she tried he would have heard her). Ah well, too late. After awhile, the dancers started to arrive and the van door was opened again. Actually, I could tell he was in such a good mood and was eager to talk but the van door kept getting shut by his manager. It was so funny because the door was opened and shut, opened and shut several times and each time, he would say something when the door opened and even when it was shut, he would yell out through the front window. LOL

Anyway, the 2nd time the door was opened, he waved to us again and said ‘Hi’ (note, most of the things he said here was in Korean unless stated otherwise). Then he spoke to the Japanese fans in Korean “She’s (pointing at me) from Australia and came by herself, please take care of her.” Either the fans’ Korean wasn’t good enough or they didnt really believe him (one of them asked me later whether I had really come from Australia by myself) and he said the same thing again in Japanese. I was really touched to say the least. I know he’s worried that I would struggle since I dont understand Japanese and never seen him in Japan before but Thank God that Japanese fans are nice and helpful^^

After he said that, one of the dancers in the back of the van said ‘I’m from Thailand’ and then catching on from that, Dongwookie pointed at another dancer and said, he’s from the Philippines and then pointed at Jo sung min (dancer) next to him and said he’s a Hong Kong actor. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL So funny. One of the Japanese fans though, I dont know if it was because she didnt really understand what he said, but she was like ‘Really?’ and Dongwookie just pointed at Jo sung min again and said ‘Hong Kong actor’. LOL

Then after a pause, he looked at me and said ‘You’re rich.” and I’m like ‘No, I’m not!” At this moment, the van door was closed by the manager again and I yelled out “I’m poor because of you!” After a few moments, the manager opened the door again and Dongwookie looked at me saying “Come safely” while waving. I said to him “Please show that you recognise me tomorrow as well” and he said “From now on, I’m going to pretend I dont know you!” The van door got closed once again by the manager and I yelled again “How can you do this to me!!” (All of this is in a joking manner in case you havent realised)

The door was opened yet again and he continued to wave at us and saying bye. After the door was closed again, he yelled out something from inside the van and I couldnt hear but the Japanese fans repeated what they heard but they couldnt understand what he said. Apparently he said ‘The weather is so good!” and so I yelled back “It’s better than Tokyo isnt it!” And after that the vans finally left.

The Japanese fans were very happy because they say he usually doesnt talk and joke around this much. Obviously he was in a very good mood!! I found it so hilarious how he kept yelling through the front window and wanted to talk. And I feel that once he speaks in Korean he can joke and play around alot more in a relaxed way. :) Anyway, I’m glad I waited til he came and the waiting was all worth it!
