101003 Fan meeting account

The fan meeting was held in a small room (the size of a storage room) in the SBS studios borrowed by the fan staff. There were no mikes or amps prepared so he only used his bare voice to speak out. Fans were told not to make a commotion so when he appeared, fans couldnt scream or cheer loudly.

He was wearing what he wore during the performance and started saying a few words. Then he picked some questions to answer which were written on pieces of paper in advance by fans. He only picked a few questions and here are some of them:-

Q: Have you ever gotten really drunk?

He answered that of course there were once or twice where he had gotten drunk and as he said that he scrunched up the piece of paper that the question was written on and threw it to the floor haha~ He said that he doesnt drink much that once he drinks, he can get really drunk.. and he asked hasnt everyone experienced that? And havent even underage ppl all experienced that? LOL

Q: He was asked about how he always keeps watch over farineli (but doesnt write)

He said that ever since he started using smartphones, he goes onto farineli alot.. but although he goes alot, there isnt much going on there.. and that half the hits on farineli are by him haha.. he promised that either today or tomorrow he will leave a msg on “From Se7en” at farineli

Then this last question, he spent the most time answering it and really talked about it for a long time

Q: What does se7en think that Lucky se7en want/wish for him to do? What does Se7en want from Lucky se7en?

He said that he’s been on hiatus in Korea for a long time and during this time, he couldnt perform in Korea and couldnt release any albums in Korea. Because of this, it is only natural for the relationship between him and Lucky Se7en to become more and more distant and for fans to feel that there is a wall between them. He said that during this time, there have been many misunderstandings which arent even misunderstandings which have accumulated, that there have been many unhappy incidents. Even though he is the same as before, Lucky Se7en have thought differently and he knows that he has been misunderstood in many situations. He said many things have happened which are to the extent that even Lucky Se7en would misunderstand him. About those misunderstandings, he was in a situation where he could not speak up because they were concerned with his private life and there were also parts which concerned YG (the company)’s privacy which he could not say anything about. So in this way, the misunderstandings were not resolved and continued to accumulate.

Although there were times when he could have stood up and explained everything, there were also times when he could not. He said that if in the future, there are situations where he cannot speak up, he hopes that Lucky Se7en can believe in him. That he’s not asking for other things but just hopes that everyone can trust him. That we cant not trust each other right? That trust is very important.

He also said that he would be able to accept fans making comments about his singing ability or dancing ability degrading, but that he would be pained and he would be hurt if people said that it seems as if he is not as passionate about music anymore or that his love for fans has lesssened. (There have been a number of fans on farineli who have made ‘observations’ and said that they think he doesnt seem to enjoy or care much about music or performing anymore) He said he couldnt accept those kind of comments and his eyes started to go a bit red and his voice shook a bit. His tears didnt fall but his eyes looked teary and many fans there started crying.

After questions, he picked some fans (randomly from numbers) who got his polaroid photos. The fans’ whose questions were picked got to take a photo together with him. After that, a group photo was taken and there were a few fans in the front who were sitting on the floor. Dongwookie came to sit in the middle in the front but then suddenly he leaned back and sorta laid there so there were fans who his head and shoulders rested upon!! ACKKKK

After the group photo, he shook hands with each fan as they exited out the door. (Read some tweets and I think he spoke to fans and even remembered some ppl’s names)

It was only a short fan meeting (more like fan chat) which lasted 30 minutes.

Note: This fan meeting was significant in many ways. This is one of the few times where we have seen him go teary in public. When he got his newcomer awards, he didnt cry. On talk shows, radio shows, TV shows, he hasnt cried. In my memory, the only time i’ve seen him waver a bit was during the 24/se7en concert on the 2nd (?) night, when everyone tried to call him back out for a re-encore (he had already had the real encore). The lights had been switched on, the stage was being cleared but everyone kept calling encore and in the end we started singing “Come back to me” in accapella by ourselves. We refused to leave. After awhile, he came back out to say thank you for everyone’s support before he went back inside and i remember that time, his voice was a bit shaky. Even when he talked about his difficult times in the US, about making his relationship public, he has always shown an optimistic and happy image to us. I hope he will only cry tears of joy but never tears of hurt and sadness because of fans. LET’S BELIEVE AND TRUST IN HIM!!!

ps if we decide to trend again next week, let’s do #webelieveinse7en~ How does that sound?

pps there was also a part where a Japanese fan wrote him a question on paper in Korean but he answered her question in Japanese. He was also asked to sing Startline, Hikari on the spot but he couldnt remember the lyrics so the fans helped him by starting to sing Startline and he followed but he still mucked up the ending lol
